How to Make Cranberry Popcorn Garland Sangria

Whether or not you ever made popcorn and cranberry garland for your Christmas tree, you’ve probably seen it before. It’s fun to make, and it’s a holiday tradition from long ago.

Our recipe is original. It takes holiday tree decor—cranberries, popcorn, and oranges—and turns it into a flavorful Christmas cocktail. Red wine makes this festive drink perfect for the holiday season.

  • Add orange juice.

How to Make Cranberry Popcorn Sangria for Christmas

  • Use the spoon to mash everything together. The popcorn will melt easily, and you must crush the berries.
  • Pour the liquid through a stranger into the second glass measure to get rid of any kernals.
  • Use the spoon to squeeze the excess liquid out of the mash.
  • Throw away the extra cranberry popcorn mash mixture.

Holiday Cocktails

  • Pour 1/2 cup of chilled wine into each glass.
  • Next, pour 1/2 of the orange juice, cranberry, and popcorn liquid into each glass.
  • Top with fresh cranberries, or use a toothpick or skewer (long enough to lay over your glass) to spear popcorn and cranberries for garnish.
  • Serve and enjoy!
