I adore engagement sessions. They are full of love and hugs and stories. And does this couple have a great story! Both of their jobs and a formerly arranged marriage (no joke!) come into play. Take a peek at this adorable Virginia brewery engagement session today.
Brad and Yuri are so cute – and completely in love! It shines through their session. Brad is actually a brewer at Virginia Beer Company in Williamsburg, and Yuri works at Board and Brush, which is a shop where customers can make their own signs out of freshly cut lumber. Both of their jobs are incorporated into their brewery engagement session, and the results are too sweet! Here are a few other details about their session.
Brad’s Shoes
Yuri’s father is Japanese, and she grew up loving Hello Kitty (as many of us did!). Of course Brad couldn’t resist wearing a bit of kitty love to the session, and he now even enjoys the characters in the world of Sanrio. So fun!
Yuri’s Ring
She adores rose gold and didn’t want an expensive stone, so a lovely morganite stone with pink hues was just perfect.
On Eloping
Yuri was originally supposed to have an arranged marriage and met her future husband-to-be when she was 16. She actually ran away from home to avoid the prearrangement! Yuri’s mom had a stroke, and Yuri and her mom had many chances to talk during her two week stay in the hospital. From there things seemed to perfectly align for Brad and Yuri to elope to tie the knot.
