Rocky Mount VA Bed and Breakfast
If you’re looking for a place to stay, a bed and breakfast is the way to go. We stayed at The Claiborne House, which is convenient to the downtown area. You could even walk if you want.
Our room was bright and beautifully appointed. It also had a spacious bathroom and a comfy bed. In addition, there’s a resident kitty cat, which made me so happy!
The owners are friendly and helpful, and our breakfast in the morning was absolutely delicious. As a vegetarian (I photographed my husband’s plate below), The Claiborne House was especially accommodating. We truly enjoyed our stay there.
Enjoy the tour below, which includes photos of the home and property. I also took the time to peek into other rooms and photographed those—they’re all unique and cozy.

Have you ever had moonshine? If not (or even if you have!), head to Twin Creeks Distillery for a tasting. I particularly enjoyed their cocktail tasting. Each one was more delicious than the next!
It’s a great, little, family-run establishment with a cute tasting area. Relax and spend a bit of time chatting and tasting. Just be sure to take your time sipping and don’t drive afterward.
Sidenote: TBH we said we’d head back to Rocky Mount simply to do another tasting. So, yes, make this a stop if you love cocktails and distilled drinks.
