If you don’t know, my daughter got married in October. What a wonderful day! It was fun to plan and then see it all come together to create such lovely memories. We did a lot of DIY planning, which included using Etsy wedding vendors. I’d love to show you some of our projects today!
Using Etsy Wedding Vendors
Weddings can mean big expenses, so doing a few do-it-yourself projects can help with budgeting. Yet when it comes to DIYs, it is good to not overload yourself. After all, there is so much to do for the big day! For my daughter’s wedding, we chose a few things that we could do ahead of time to create fun keepsakes. Take a peek!
Rose Gold Earrings
These were made by the bride – my daughter, Aubrey – and gifted to her bridesmaids, mothers of the bride and groom, and a few other special ladies on her wedding day. The fabric matched the bowties of the bride and groom, and she used earring sets from Etsy to create these all on her own. So fun!

Snack Bags
One fun thing we did for our guests was to send them off on a tour of Lynchburg while the venue was being flipped. So fun! Instead of having a cocktail hour, we sent them on their merry way with a bag of snacks. So fun!

Wedding Favors
Here I’m featuring two different items. Our guests received not one, but two wedding favors centered around the theme of lavender. So fun!
Lavender Sachet Bags
For these, we purchased muslin bags, stamped them (we used this stamp for several things!), and filled them with beautifully fragranced lavender. What a treat!
Items purchased from Etsy wedding vendors:
Custom Lollipops
My daughter wanted to give her guests custom lollipops that featured lavender. It was such a fun favor, and they also included a personalized sticker. They tasted fabulous, too!

Silk Ribbon for Flowers and Flatware
Have you seen the trend of silk ribbon? It’s so lovely and can add panache and color to many aspects of the wedding, BUT it is expensive and can add up really quickly. I happened upon this Etsy vendor, who has dyed ribbon made from silk saris. Not only was it beautiful, but it was very reasonable. We used it in the bouquets, boutonnieres, and to tie the flatware. I loved this extra touch!

Monogrammed Napkins
I am all into saving money – especially on throwaway items, and napkins were just that. I couldn’t see the sense in having napkins printed, so we decided to use our custom stamp to make our own. The result was lovely, and it fit in with our heirloom theme much better than professionally printed napkins would have. Such a fun addition!
Items from Etsy wedding vendors:
Lavender Toss Cones
When my daughter and her new husband exited their reception, we wanted to shower them with lavender, but we were not sure how to distribute it. So, we filled cute paper cones with loose lavender. They were easy to fill and toss. Cute!

Wasn’t that fun? We saved money and created a few fun keepsakes that went with our theme of DIY and handmade. If you want to see my daughter’s wedding in full, just head here to see our special day!
