What You Need to Make This Holiday Drink
Our holiday cocktail recipe makes two drinks. So, feel free to adjust the quantity depending on how many Christmas drinks you want.
- quarter cup fresh cranberries
- quarter cup plain popped popcorn
- half a cup of orange juice
- 1 cup red wine (ours was from Cuda Ridge Wines)
Supplies for a Christmas Cocktail
- 2 glass measures with pour spouts
- strainer
- spoon or another device to mash cranberries
- glasses for serving

How to Make Red Wine Christmas Sangria
- Clean your cranberries, and pop the popcorn (or use bagged natural popcorn).
- Place cranberries and popcorn into a glass measuring cup with a pour spout.
- Reserve 2-3 berries and 3-4 popcorn pieces for garnish per glass of sangria.
- Next, add orange juice.
- Use the spoon to mash everything together. The popcorn will melt easily, and you must crush the berries.
- Pour the liquid through a strainer into the second glass measure to remove any kernels.
- Then, use a spoon to squeeze out the excess liquid from the mash.
- Throw away the extra cranberry popcorn mash mixture.
- Pour 1/2 cup of chilled wine into each glass.
- Next, pour 1/2 of the orange juice, cranberry, and popcorn liquid into each glass.
- Top with fresh cranberries, or use a toothpick or skewer (long enough to lay over your glass) to spear popcorn and cranberries for garnish.
- Finally, serve and enjoy!
